Let Your Light Shine

People are not autonomous creatures; and the more turbulent the times, the more evident this becomes. In moments of uncertainty and crisis, people reach out for help, expecting that someone will be able to respond. How should we prepare ourselves to be ready when others need us?

Now is the time to take inventory of what we have to offer. This is not only our material resources, but also our skills, knowledge, time, relationships, and capacity to serve. We must consider how the gifts and resources we possess can be used to make a positive contribution to our communities. The question is not simply, "Who will help?" It is also, "How can I help?"
