Words from Our Pastor - Week of February 15, 2026

Living Out Love

During the month of February, we aspire to elevate in love. Elevating love within the church begins with focusing our attention on Jesus Christ rather than on personalities, preferences, or positions. When we focus on Jesus, we discover that love is rooted in Christ's sacrificial character. Love is patient, forgiving, and enduring instead of conditional or emotional.

One way the early church demonstrated love was by sharing life together, supporting one another's needs, and remaining united in purpose. Today, we can do the same. We can intentionally practice hospitality, warmly welcome guests, build relationships across generations, and create spaces where people feel seen and valued.

Additionally, we can show love through consistent prayer, honest communication, and biblical conflict resolution. Praying with and for one another softens hearts and deepens compassion, while addressing misunderstandings quickly prevents division from taking root. Serving together strengthens bonds as we work side by side for a shared effort.

Ultimately, love is elevated when we model holiness, humility, kindness, and forgiveness in daily interactions. When people love and are loved, the church becomes not just a place of worship, but a true spiritual family grounded in Christlike love.

Power House, let's continue to elevate in love!

Yours in Christ,

Dr. Odell Riley, DMin

Senior Pastor

I Corinthians 13:1

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
